Maybe it's a business, a hobby, or a project you care about. If you can give me one evening, we'll build it together — and you'll walk away owning it, start to finish.
Based in Shepherdstown, WV. No monthly fees — ever.
Don't know where to begin? Not sure what a website even needs? That's normal — and it's exactly what one evening together fixes. Here's the shape of it.
A short list beforehand — your name, what you do, a few photos, any text you already have. Nothing fancy, just what's already sitting on your phone or computer.
One evening, or a few sessions if the site's bigger. You watch it come together and make real decisions as we go — it's not handed to you cold.
Your domain, your hosting account, your site. I register nothing in my own name. You could walk away today and it would still be yours.
Happy with it as-is? Done. Want to learn to update it yourself? That's a short training session away — no ongoing bill either way.
Here's the full picture, in the order it actually happens.
The only ongoing cost, paid to the domain registrar — not to me. There's no fee to me after your site is built, ever.
One 4–5 hour session together, once you've done your prep. Includes fixing anything broken in the build afterward — not new content, just making sure what we built works right.
If yours needs more than one sitting — more pages, more moving parts — this covers two to three sessions instead of one.
Learn to update, expand, and maintain the site yourself. Starts with a single session and scales up to a full walkthrough, depending on how deep you want to go.
A travel advisor's site — cruises, group travel, and personalized vacation planning. Built as a clean single page: who she is, what she offers, and a clear way to start planning a trip. Live, fast, and costs her nothing to host.
Visit voyagebyviolet.comA reading app I built and maintain on my own — not commissioned work, just something I wanted to exist. Shows the same care that goes into client sites, applied to something of my own.

I've spent years building software professionally, and I build my own projects for the love of it too. Three Dog Design is the small, local version of that — helping Shepherdstown businesses and neighbors get a real website without the jargon, the sales pitch, or the monthly bill.
The name comes from an old logo of mine, from a chapter when there really were three dogs in the house. These days it's just one — a German Shepherd named Nagi — but the name stuck, and it's a good story if you ever want to hear it.
I keep things capped, plain, and yours. No lock-in, no ongoing fees, no pressure to hire me again unless you want to.
